Directions to Barnham Broom

Approaching from West & South West

M11 northbound, leave at Junction 9 to pick-up A11, then A11/A14 to Newmarket by-pass. Then take A11 to Norwich via Thetford by-pass and Wymondham. Leave A11 at left hand filter junction due east of Wymondham as indicated by brown Barnham Broom golf flag sign. The exit lane then meets a dual carriageway where you can only turn left - do so. You are now 7 miles from Barnham Broom. After 0.3 mile take second exit at roundabout. The new Norfolk Police HQ faces you as you approach this roundabout. Having taken the second exit, the Waitrose supermarket is on your left hand side.

After ¼ mile you come to another roundabout with the Waitrose fuel station on your left. Go straight over this roundabout (B1135) and continue for 1.3 miles when you come to a slight right hand bend in the road and, immediately after, a right hand turn to Barnham Broom and Carleton Forehoe - again the Barnham Broom golf sign is evident. After 2.5 miles you come to a crossroads, continue straight ahead and after a further 0.9 mile you come to a T junction. Turn right, and after 0.4 mile you come to another crossroads with a village shop on your left - again continue straight over. After a further 1 mile you arrive at the Barnham Broom Golf and Hotel complex. Take the first entrance on the right, park and collect your key from HPB reception.

Approaching from the North

Start point A1 south west of Peterborough at Junction 17. A1 (Junc 17) Feed off left to Peterborough Service Area. At roundabout take 2nd exit A1139 (signposted City Centre) A1139 Junction with A1260 - continue straight ahead following signs for Wisbech. A47 Junction with A47 (Junc 8). At roundabout take 2nd exit A47. A47 Junction for Eye. At roundabout take 1st exit signposted Wisbech A47 Junction with A141.

At roundabout take 1st exit A47 signposted Wisbech. A47 Route Wisbech to Kings Lynn. Pick up bypass to south of Kings Lynn at roundabout. Cross over river and at next roundabout continue straight on. After 2 miles on bypass you come to a second roundabout A47 At roundabout take second exit A47 signposted Swaffham. A47 Continue on A47 passing north of Swaffham following signs to Dereham.

A47 Continue on A47 passing through Dereham following signs for Norwich. A47 Honingham (2 miles after end of dual carriageway), turn right following brown Barnham Broom Golf Flag sign. Continue up hill and straight on over crossroads - again follow Barnham Broom Golf Flag sign. Golf Club complex is down in the valley 2 miles after crossroads and on the left hand side. Take second entrance on left into main car park. Hotel Reception is front centre left of hotel complex.
